This treatment is called Profhilo®
Profhilo® is a bio-regenerating treatment which stimulates the body’s own hyaluronic acid production, helping to counteract skin laxity, dryness and dehydration. It works with the skin on a cellular level, assisting with collagen production and remodelling the entire face. Profhilo® is not a traditional dermal filler, but helps the skin to regain moisture, tightness and that youthful glow we all want to achieve. For our younger patients, Profhilo® is excellent for the early prevention of lines, wrinkles and loss of facial volume. Profhilo® can be used to rejuvenate the face, neck, hands and the decolletage.
At Rosie Cooper Aesthetics, we not only see that our patients within the ages of 40 to 50 greatly benefit from a course of Profhilo®, but our younger patients, who might not yet need Botox® or dermal fillers also see vast improvements to their skin quality, without looking fake or over ‘done’.
Profhilo® is a non-invasive injectable skincare procedure, which can significantly improve the level of hydration within your skin cells. It can help to tone and firm the skin as well as smooth away fine lines and even deeper wrinkles. It will not change or re-shape your facial features like a dermal filler, but rather treats the entire face for better hydration, a youthful glow and a firmer complexion.
Before any treatment can take place here at Rosie Cooper Aesthetics in Leamington Spa and Oxford, we will ask that you attend a pre-treatment consultation, to assess your skin quality and discuss your requirements. We will also check your medical history to ensure that Profhilo® will be a safe and effective option for you.
Profhilo® is delivered in 2 treatments, within one month to 6 weeks of each other. This is then followed by a maintenance treatment after 2 months, depending on your age and your own level of skin ageing. If you are experiencing significant skin ageing, a third treatment may be advised. After this initial course, you may wish to have maintenance top ups, every 4 months to optimise the longevity of your results.
There may be some ‘sting’ marks on your skin at the injection sites, following the Profhilo® treatment but this is normal and they will fade in around 4 to 6 hours. You might notice some localised tenderness and slight bruising also, but this will fade quickly. There is no clinical downtime, so you won’t need to take time off work or change your daily activities following a Profhilo® treatment, as long as you adhere to any aftercare instructions that your practitioner advises, such as avoiding hot steam rooms, baths or saunas or excessive exercise for around 48 hours after your treatment.
History of severe allergy & pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Most of our patients report seeing a positive change in their complexion, 4 weeks after their initial treatment. However, the optimal results will be seen around a month after the second session.
Results can last up to 6 months. However, in some cases of extreme skin ageing or sun damage, we recommend maintenance treatments every 4 months, to maintain beautifully youthful-looking, resilient and toned skin.
